Invest in Our Future

Outdoor Basketball Game

Health is Wealth

All generations are able to make friends while extending their lives through sports and fun activities. The multipurpose building will increase spaces for youth and adult basketball practice and games. Other sports like Judo, Ping Pong, PickleBall, and Volleyball can organize tournaments in the high school regulation size gymnasium. Adults that work during the day will be able to destress by practicing Tai Chi or Chair Yoga. CC membership is required. Fees are minimal for these programs.

Raise The Stage

Our members and local community will light up the stage. Join Taiko, Country Western Music, Line Dance, Meiji Ondo group, movie club, Karaoke, Hawaiian Hula, Okinawa Club, Tai Chi, and Ukelele and discover your hidden  talents. We believe that a stage for performing arts will prepare our youth to succeed with confidence and poise. Top lnotch sound and lighting will enhance future programming in our diverse community. Performances will be in a comfortable place where every seat will be a good seat. Our venue will celebrate traditional and contemporary music, dance, and  visual arts. Snack bar will be available! More importantly,  Memorial Day and the Scholarship Lunch will take place  in a fitting arena. CC membership is required. Fees are minimal for these programs.

Raising a Hand

Pass The Torch

The new up to date classrooms will be home for learners of all ages . The Japanese Language Institute is important because it instills the essence of our culture, written and verbal language. We prepare bilingual students for a global economy. Curated Japanese flower arrangement, bonsai, koto, and calligraphy sessions will be here close to home. Travel like a native via Japanese Language Institute classes held in person or on zoom. Arts and Crafts meets on Mondays and makes items for sale in a jovial social environment. CC membership is required. Fees are minimal for these programs.

Meet The Team

In 2016,  the dream began when then President Paul Jonokuchi wanted representatives from all clubs to work together to create a plan for future development.

The Future Planning Committee  conducted focus groups, distributed surveys then met with Pro Bono architect, Glenn Togawa.

In 2019, the Future Planning Focus group met to see what's the newest design for a multipurpose hall. Eric Hirota, Architect and SF Athletics parent/coach described the design and planning process. A short presentation has been part of the General Meeting annually.

Are you prepared to uphold Japanese American values for the young people?
